Do I need to verify my identity to sell? +
No. Quarter Pole does not collect a government ID and does not run a background check. Sign-up is
open. What happens instead: before you submit a listing you sign an attestation that you have the right to list
the horse, that the information is accurate, and that the sale is legally compliant. Then a person reviews the
listing before it appears.
How long does listing approval take? +
Listing takes minutes: photos, a bio, and an Equibase link. No documents are required. Your
listing then enters a review queue, where a person reviews it before it appears in the marketplace. You'll get a
push notification the moment your listing goes live.
Are there commissions or transaction fees? +
Quarter Pole charges no commissions and no transaction fees. We're a marketplace and messaging
platform. Buyers and sellers handle transactions directly off-platform.
What makes Quarter Pole different from an open marketplace? +
Facebook groups and classifieds publish whatever is typed into them. On Quarter Pole every listing
passes a human review before it appears, every seller signs an attestation, and pedigree and race data import
straight from Equibase instead of being typed in by the seller. We do not vet the person or warrant the horse,
so always do your own due diligence before you send anyone money.
How do I delete my account? +
In the app: Settings → Privacy & Security → Delete Account. Your account, listings, and
personal data will be deleted within 90 days. Any documents you chose to submit are typically purged within
minutes of review.
I forgot my password. +
On the sign-in screen, tap “Forgot Password.” You'll receive a reset link at your registered email
within 30 seconds. Check your spam folder if it doesn't arrive.
